Efraín Silva, considered the "Father of the Classical Guitar of the Aragua State" and one of the greatest exponents of the Venezuelan guitarist tradition, is a concert player, composer and teacher. He studied and graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, where he also received a master's degree in acoustic physics, mentioning Assistenti Musicali. His passion for music also led him to gain experience abroad, where he attended courses and seminars on musical perfection in Spain, Houston, Siena, Vienna and Venezuela, with teachers such as Mario Gangi, Alirio Díaz, Rodrigo Riera, Oscar Ghiglia, Ruggero Chiesa, Brigitte Zaczek, Gonzalo Castellanos Yumar.

He began his musical career at the age of 13 and today, with more than 50 years of artistic life, Silva is recognized for always leaving the name of his country and his state high whenever he steps on stage, in addition to his work unattainable in the training of new generations of guitarists who today are scattered throughout the world performing their most famous Fifteen Venezuelan Studies and several of their arrangements for classical guitar, including: Luis Ochoa, Jhibaro Rodríguez, Jonathan Bolívar, Carlina Flores, Jonnathan El Barouki and many other teachers.

 

His most recent work is his new book "Pedagogical Suite and Initial Geography of the Guitar", designed for those who take their first steps on the instrument. Currently Efraín Silva, at 68 years of age, is settled in the city of Torremolinos, Spain, where he continues composing, performing concerts and teaching.
